A rigging plan is essential for safe and productive lifting. It is a foundation for all other construction applications, and that is why you should not compromise its accuracy. Otherwise, you will have to deal with catastrophic consequences associated with over- or under-budgeting.

Crane operators create rigging plans in every construction they undertake. The plan helps them to identify safety precautions, machine positioning, hazards and environmental risks. The plans are classified into three main categories: pre-engineered, critical and ordinary lift plans. 

The ordinary lifts require minimal rigging basics and a few safety precautions. Critical lift plans require additional safety precautions as well as detailed planning. Similarly to the loads, your rigging plan should account for the environmental conditions too. The primary considerations include weather condition, proximity to the public and the crane's location. 3. Consider the personnel

4. Consider the machine

The type of crane you select should be the best for your application. If possible, take enough time to research. Compare the available options and get expert advice on the best option. After choosing the right equipment, the last step is a pre-use inspection. During the investigation, you will verify if all the stuff is working according to expectations.
